The number of Nevada trademark applications filed in January increased 18.7% to 407. This is a 7% increase from January 2013. The number of Nevada trademarks that were registered in January decreased 35% to 183. This is a 22% decrease from January 2013.
Definitions
Nevada trademark applications are applications that have been filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and that are owned by entities that have a Nevada address. Once a Nevada trademark application has been examined and approved and all requirements have been satisfied, it becomes a Nevada registered trademark.
